DIRECTOR OF DISTRIBUTION(Part-Time, Contract, Non-Exclusive) December 2025 – March 2026 (~20 hrs/week)Be a part of the changing indie film distribution!Crossing Bridges Films is seeking a strategic, organized, and entrepreneurial Director of Distribution to lead the rollout of The Lemurian Candidate, a independent psychedelic comedy feature. Following our successful West Coast premiere and screenings tour, we are now looking for someone to manage and execute the next stages of the movie’s distribution, including live virtual events, a limited theatrical run, watch-party licensing, select festivals, and alternative culture events.This is a part-time, contractor role with the opportunity to evolve into a longer-term distribution partnership for future projects.ABOUT THE MOVIEThe Lemurian Candidate is a new cult psychedelic buddy comedy set on California’s legendary Mount Shasta. The completed feature will be made available to shortlisted candidates upon request.ROLE OVERVIEWYou will oversee and coordinate the Phase 2 distribution campaign, including a series of live virtual screening events, a 10–12 city theatrical run, and a structured watch-party program. You’ll also help manage deliverables and coordination with select film festivals and alternative events.You’ll work closely with the core team, manage a small distributed crew, and ensure all components of the rollout execute smoothly, on time, and on budget.This is a results-driven, flexible-schedule position. Must be able to attend virtual meetings and communicate clearly across time zones.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Virtual Screening EventsPlan and manage a series of live virtual screening events (flagship virtual premiere + 2–3 follow-up events).Manage tech and streaming logistics (Zoom, OBS, Vimeo, Gathr, etc.).Coordinate with cast, hosts, ambassadors, and special guests.Oversee ticketing, tracking, upsells (donations, merch), and follow-up.Support live chat, MC prep, and run-of-show execution.2. Watch Party / Screening CampaignLaunch and manage tiered host licensing options for home, community, and micro-venue screenings.Create or coordinate toolkits, graphics, and support materials.Track host signups and fulfillment; provide troubleshooting and basic host support.Liaise with merch and tech support teams to ensure smooth fulfillment.3. Theatrical Rollout (10–12 Cities)Confirm venue bookings and basic deal terms (rev share, dates, formats).Coordinate DCP and other deliverable delivery, showtimes, and ticketing links.Collaborate with social and team to market screenings.Support regional community partners or ambassadors to drive attendance.4. Festivals & Alternative EventsManage deliverables and coordination for a curated list of US and European film festivals.Track submission deadlines, materials, and communication with programmers.Identify and pursue alternative exhibition opportunities (music festivals, UFO and paranormal conferences, cannabis/psychedelic events, spiritual/counterculture gatherings, etc.).Coordinate logistics and terms for one-off licenses or special event screenings at these venues.5. Analytics & ReportingMaintain a shared dashboard for sales, tickets, signups, and key metrics across channels.Deliver weekly updates and campaign highlights.Flag risks, delays, or underperforming markets and propose adjustments.6. Phase 3 Expansion (Potential) If Phase 2 succeeds, this role may transition into:Leading VOD and DVD/Bluray launch.Coordination with distribution partners.Expanded and ongoing theatrical / non-theatrical / alternative screenings.Developing library distribution strategies for future Crossing Bridges projects.Supporting additional indie releases using our hybrid model.MARKETING & PUBLICITY (SELECTIVE SCOPE)Work with the producers and social media team to support targeted outreach for key events (virtual, theatrical, festivals, alt-events, watch parties).Coordinate or assist with select press and publicity efforts (niche outlets, podcasts, blogs, specialty cinema and counterculture press).Help craft or adapt basic marketing materials (one-sheets, event blurbs, email copy, and/or talking points) to maximize exposure and attendance.Depending on your experience and interest, this marketing and publicity component may expand the scope of your responsibilities, as well as the hours and compensation for the role.IDEAL EXPERIENCE & TRAITSRelevant Experience:Distribution strategy with independent and/or genre films.Indie exhibition: both theatrical and non-traditional venues.Experience with festival strategy, alt-events, or touring-style campaigns.Digital campaigns: social- or email-driven film/cause marketing.Strong communicator: reliable, organized, deadline-driven.Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in multi-hat, resourceful environments.Bonus SkillsFilm festival and alternative exhibition experience (music/arts festivals, conferences, counterculture events).Eventive / Gathr / Seed&Spark / virtual cinema familiarity.Brand partnerships or affiliate marketing background.Niche press, podcast, or specialty cinema/community contacts.Comfortable doing occasional press, outreach, or public-facing communications.COMPENSATION$2,000/month (contractor role, December 2025 – March 2026, ~20 hrs/week).Scope, hours, and compensation may expand for candidates who bring additional marketing/publicity capacity and take on more responsibilities in that area.Potential bonuses or revenue participation in Phase 3.TO APPLYInterested applicants should send a resume, cover letter, and examples of past work (campaigns, events, distribution projects, or similar) to czfenton@crossingbridgesfilms.com by end of day Friday, December 5th.
