Come be part of our fun, fast-paced, and family-oriented culture — and help us continue building a brand that makes every guest, and every team member feel right at home.Garrett's Family Market is searching for a Director of Food and Beverage who will drive food and beverage sales by supporting store teams, ensuring operational excellence, leading menu innovation, and delivering strong financial results while maintaining food safety and a competitive, guest-focused program.What will you do?The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for helping store teams maximize their food and dispensed beverage sales while executing best-in-class operational processes and ensuring adherence to food safety practices and policies. In addition, this role drives the innovation and continuous improvement of food and beverage offerings and develops related training programs to keep the brand’s food program fresh, competitive, and aligned with guest expectations. This role partners closely with store and district leadership to achieve operational excellence and strong financial results.Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Develops and updates training materials related to food and beverage-related processes, policies, and tools.Analyzes and tracks food and beverage sales and waste data by store and provides direction to stores to maximize sales and minimize waste.Is a subject matter expert on retail convenience store food/beverage trends in products, processes, and tools.Tests and recommends new food and beverage equipment and supplies (e.g., cooking utensils, packaging) and helps roll out to stores.Tests new products and updates related processes and equipment settings (e.g., update oven settings for new items, update cooking instructions and hold times).For new or remodeled stores, provides input to food and beverage layout and equipment; helps to set up food/beverage equipment when store opens.Works on or leads food and beverage-related special projects as needed, often working with company staff as well as outside vendors.Team leader for our commissary by providing senior level strategy and oversight into operations.Develops and refines standard operating procedures to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in all food operationsDevelops and implements corrective action plans to improve underperforming locations or programs.Tracks and reports key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership.Develops budgets, cost controls, and inventory management procedures.Drives growth by identifying and developing new product opportunities and operational improvements.Oversees compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, USDA, FDA, local health).Works with retail marketing, operations leadership, and commissary leadership to align and grow food sales and profits with customer demand.Qualified Candidates for this position have:Bachelor’s degree in business, Food Science, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.7+ years in Chain Retail Food operations, food production, commissary, or foodservice operations leadership.Strong understanding of food safety compliance, quality control, and cost management.Proven ability to scale operations and meet ambitious growth targets.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.This position offers a comprehensive salary, bonus, and benefits package. The definitive compensation may vary in alignment with the selected candidate’s professional background, experience, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
