Job Title: Director of Marketing (Contractor, with potential to convert to full-time employment)Department: MarketingReports To: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 annually (contractor rate, commensurate with experience) Location: Remote (evening and weekend availability required)Job SummaryThe Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and leading integrated marketing strategies for national tours and festivals that drive ticket sales, audience growth, and brand impact. This role oversees campaign planning across digital, social, experiential, and traditional channels, ensuring cohesive execution across markets. The Director will lead a high-performing team and collaborate with internal stakeholders, agencies, and media partners to deliver measurable results.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for concert tours and festivals to achieve revenue and ticket sales goals.Lead integrated campaign planning across digital, social, content, influencer, experiential, and traditional media (including radio and out-of-home).Design and oversee digital-first campaign architecture leveraging paid social, CRM, and fan data insights to maximize ROI.Partner with agencies, venues, and local promoters to activate full-funnel marketing strategies and ensure seamless execution across all markets.Direct the creative development and production of marketing assets, maintaining brand consistency with artist and tour branding.Manage marketing budgets and reporting, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial goals.Track and analyze performance data to optimize campaigns, forecast sales, and report outcomes to leadership.Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering professional development and a culture of collaboration and accountability.Work cross-functionally with talent buyers, finance, and operations to align marketing initiatives with broader business objectives.Stay informed on industry trends, emerging platforms, and audience behaviors to innovate and maintain a competitive edge.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.10+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within the live entertainment or concert promotion industry.Demonstrated success leading and scaling large, cross-functional marketing teams (10+ people), including contractors and agency partners.Proven experience managing multimillion-dollar marketing budgets and executing integrated campaigns for national or large-scale tours, festivals, or live events.Expertise in digital media buying, audience segmentation, CRM strategy, and data-driven marketing (required).Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing, including social media, content, influencer, experiential, and traditional strategies.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to executives, artists, and partners.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple launches simultaneously.Passion for live entertainment, audience engagement, and culturally relevant storytelling.Preferred SkillsExperience with programmatic ad buying, CRM marketing, and fan data analytics.Established relationships with DSPs, venues, and media outlets.Familiarity with ticketing platforms, marketing analytics, and digital ad tools.Why Join BPC?The Black Promoters Collective is reshaping the future of live entertainment through culture-first programming, global growth, and innovation.
