We unify fragmented rental markets into a streamlined, high-performance experience for renters and property owners across British Columbia.We currently manage a diversified portfolio of 240+ properties, spanning:60% Mid-Term Rentals (MTR)20% Short-Term Rentals (STR)20% Long-Term Rentals (LTR)This balanced model allows us to operate year-round, maximize occupancy, and deliver a modern, flexible rental experience across all durations.Artin has recently expanded beyond BC into Seattle and Texas, with new ventures underway in Toronto and Mexico as we continue to build a unified, cross-border rental ecosystem.Our Mission: To Make Rentals Easy with one platform for every duration, delivering seamless, tech-enabled solutions for renters and property owners.Our Vision: To revolutionize the rental industry by uniting fragmented markets under one platform, redefining ease, value, and trust across all rental durations.About the RoleWe’re looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented, hospitality-centered Director of Operations to lead and scale the operational backbone of Artin Properties and its three major subsidiaries:1. Artin Stays – Short-Term & Mid-Term Rental OperationsOverseeing guest experience, listings, turnover flows, and supervising the Guest Communications Lead.2. Artin Clean – Housekeeping & Turnover OperationsManaging the Quality Manager and entire housekeeping network to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency.3. Artin Maintenance – Trades & Contractor ManagementCoordinating third-party contractors, maintenance scheduling, quality control checks, and emergency response protocols.This role is critical in ensuring that all operational departments function cohesively as one engine. If you thrive in hospitality environments, can navigate tech with ease, and excel at building scalable processes, you’ll find huge success here.You’ll work closely with the COO and leadership team to improve workflows, elevate service quality, reduce inefficiencies, and drive operational excellence across all subsidiaries.ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership & StrategyLead daily operations across Artin Stays, Artin Realty, Artin Clean, and Artin Maintenance.Build, refine, and enforce SOPs, quality standards, and performance benchmarks.Evaluate operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions with speed and precision.Collaborate with the COO on short-term and long-term operational strategy.Subsidiary OversightArtin Stays: Oversee guest communications, turnover performance, property readiness, and service recovery.Artin Realty: Support brokerage operations, compliance workflows, and service coordination.Artin Clean: Direct the Quality Manager, monitor housekeeping standards, and ensure fast, clean, and consistent turnovers.Artin Maintenance: Manage maintenance contractors, ensure timely work orders, and supervise quality control.Team Management & Cross-Functional CollaborationSupervise the Guest Communications Lead and Cleaning Manager.Work closely with revenue management, client relations, brokerage, and onboarding teams.Support recruitment, training, and development of operations personnel.Quality Assurance & Process ImprovementAudit cleaning, maintenance, and guest-facing ops weekly.Monitor service standards and property readiness metrics.Develop new systems for tracking performance, efficiency, and cost management.Tech & Systems ExcellenceMaintain and optimize operational systems (Notion, Slack, Buildium, HostAway, Operto, etc.)Identify new tech to automate, simplify, and scale operations.Create dashboards, checklists, and tracking tools for operational visibility.Reporting & PerformanceProvide weekly operations reports on KPIs, staffing, quality, turnover efficiency, guest metrics, and cost performance.Lead monthly operations reviews with leadership.Qualifications3+ years of experience in hospitality operations, property management operations, or multi-site operations.Proven leadership experience managing teams or department leads.Strong hospitality instincts: service excellence, guest experience, and operational consistency.Highly tech-fluent with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and optimize workflows.Exceptional attention to detail with a process-driven, systems-oriented mindset.Comfortable in a fast-paced, tech-enabled startup environment with constant iteration.Strong communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.Experience in STR/MTR hospitality, hotels, or real estate is a major asset.Why This Role MattersThis role is the heartbeat of the company’s service execution.
