Since 2007, Shooting Touch has positively impacted participants globally, utilizing sport as a tool for promoting health equity, gender inclusion, and upward mobility.Learn more: www.shootingtouch.comPosition Summary:Shooting Touch is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working, and organized Director of Partnerships and Development to drive partnerships, fundraising, and visibility for the organization in Rwanda. The role requires a self-motivated, social, detail-oriented, “go-getter” with strong communication and computer skills, capable of managing multiple projects and logistics simultaneously while building local relationships and partnerships.This full-time position is based in Kigali, with approximately 80% of the time spent engaging with both existing and prospective partnerships across institutional and government entities, philanthropic foundations and individual donors, local and international NGO partners, and academic institutions. This individual will also interact with our youth and women beneficiaries and program visitors. The Director is a member of Shooting Touch’s leadership team, serving as the external-facing development lead in Rwanda, sharing the stories and impact of Shooting Touch Rwanda to increase funding streams and expand program impact through strategic sponsorships and institutional partners. The Director works closely with the Rwanda and Boston teams to ensure donor and programmatic relationships are systemized, ethical, and advantageous to the organization’s success. Key Responsibilities:Partnership Development & Representation:Cultivate and manage new and existing partnerships with Rwandan government agencies, corporate sponsors, foundations, individual donors, program partners, and other associated groups to support organizational growth. Develop and maintain regular touchpoints with donors and sponsors to ensure ongoing engagement and continued support.Identify and communicate new funding and sponsorship opportunities for the Development Team.Represent Shooting Touch Rwanda at speaking engagements, donor and partner visits, meetings, and networking opportunities.Work with the U.S. and Rwanda Teams to plan and host donor trips and site visits.Maintain active engagement with  Rwanda’s basketball, health, and nonprofit communities, including key partners such as the Ministries of Sport and Health, NBA Africa, the Rwanda Development Board, and the Rwanda Basketball Federation. Stay informed on local government priorities and trends to inform program strategy and partnership engagement.Keep accurate, organized, and up-to-date records for all partnership activities and communications.Management & Fundraising:Track donor information and progress using Shooting Touch’s database.Work with the Rwanda Program Director, Executive Director, and U.S. Development Team to meet annual goals.Plan and run all fundraising and networking events in Rwanda, including logistics and follow-up.Engage with the Rwanda Circle of Advisors to strengthen networks and partnerships.Support the Rwanda Team with donor communications and storytelling.Research market trends and opportunities to help grow Shooting Touch’s funding base in Rwanda and internationally.Cross-Team Collaboration:Work closely with the Boston and Rwanda teams to align partnership and fundraising goals.Support planning and strategy for organizational growth.Collaborate with the Communications Director, Director of Development, and Director of Advancement and Partnerships on fundraising and outreach.Collaborate with the Director of Impact and Growth, the Director of Programs and Operations in Rwanda. Manage timelines, activities, and progress reports for all Rwanda-based, development-related work.Work with the Communications Team to create materials for donor and partner cultivation. Attend and represent Shooting Touch at all community-based and partner events. Visit Shooting Touch program sites regularly, engaging with staff and beneficiaries to learn about and gain valuable insight into program activities and participant stories to share with partners.Support in organizational expansion within Rwanda and beyond.Communicate with monitoring and evaluation staff to stay up to date on program impact.Attend weekly meetings with the Rwanda Program and Operations Director.Administrative Support:Support the Development team with general administrative tasks.Prepare reports and materials for leadership and partners.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in International or Global Development, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, MBA preferred. Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and partnerships.Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English and Kinyarwanda.Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Strong public speaking and communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office
