Company: Shop ONline New York Location: Fully Remote Duration: 3 months Number of Hours Per Week: 20About Shop ONline New York: Shop ONline New York is an e-commerce company preparing for launch. We are building a modern shopping experience and need a Product Owner with a strong UI background to translate design intent into shippable work that meets measurable outcomes.Role Overview: You will own the UI roadmap for web and mobile, convert research and design into prioritized backlog items, and ensure delivery quality through clear acceptance criteria, design-system alignment, and usability standards. You will collaborate daily with the CEO, Director of Development and Operations, UX/UI designers, React/Flutter engineers, QA, and analytics.Key Responsibilities:Own the UI backlog: define epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics for core flows (catalog, PDP, cart, checkout, reviews, wishlist, account).Turn Figma artifacts into implementation-ready tickets; manage handoff and design QA with engineers.Maintain and evolve the design system (components, tokens, accessibility rules) in partnership with design.Establish UI quality gates: responsiveness, accessibility (WCAG), performance budgets, empty states, error states, and localization readiness.Run backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily check-ins, and review sessions focused on UI deliverables.Define and monitor KPIs (conversion rate, add-to-cart, funnel drop-off, page speed, CLS/LCP, task success).Coordinate A/B tests and lightweight usability validations; translate findings into backlog updates.Partner with analytics to ensure events, tagging, and dashboards are defined before build.Drive cross-platform consistency across React (web) and Flutter (mobile) implementations.Lead UAT for UI features; triage and prioritize defects to meet release criteria.Qualifications:Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager shipping UI-heavy features.Strong proficiency with Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, design tokens) and design handoff.Ability to write precise user stories and acceptance criteria for UI work, including edge cases and non-functional requirements.Working knowledge of frontend constraints and trade-offs (React or Flutter), and API integrations.Familiarity with accessibility standards, performance principles, and design-system governance.Comfortable with analytics and experimentation tools (e.g., GA4, basic A/B testing frameworks).Excellent communication, facilitation, and backlog management in an agile environment.What You Will Gain:End-to-end ownership of UI initiatives that ship to production.Close collaboration with executives, design, engineering, and QA in a launch-ready context.A portfolio of measurable outcomes: improved flows, design-system contributions, and shipped releases.A certificate of completion and, based on performance, a detailed letter of recommendation.Application Process: Send your résumé, a brief note describing a UI feature you owned end-to-end (goal, constraints, acceptance criteria, results), and a link to any relevant portfolio or artifacts (Figma, PRDs, dashboards) to Samta.jokhe@shoponlinenewyork.com and abadmorel@shoponlinenewyork.com
