Director of Photography – PRAƧIS (Short Film – Proof of Concept for Feature) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo meets The Accountant — at the moral crossroads of The Lives of Others. A psychologically charged short exploring strength, identity, and systemic tension through cinematic storytelling. When: Spring 2026 (5-10 day shoot) Where: Brighton, (London considered), UK  Format: 15-minute proof-of-concept short film Purpose: Festival and online platform release Fee Structure: Aligned with BFI day rates (London standard) Equipment: Own kit or hire; experience with ARRI Alexa Mini, Sony FX6/FX9, or similar Deliverables: Festival-ready master, online screening formats (DCP, ProRes, etc.) Creative Punch Productions Ltd, is an emerging photo and video production company based in London/Brighton, is seeking a Director of Photography for a festival-ready short film currently in pre-production. The film follows a professional BFI-aligned structure, with London-standard day rates, and is being developed for festival and online distribution. The project is a 15-minute proof of concept, created for festival submission and online platform delivery, and requires a DoP with a strong command of lighting, exposure, and cinematic composition. A gaffer will be on board, but the DoP must demonstrate creative and technical mastery, as well as a thorough understanding of their craft. We are seeking someone confident in handling low-light, high-contrast environments, and capable of achieving rich tonal depth within a naturalistic visual style. Experience with sensitive camera systems such as the ARRI Alexa Mini, Sony FX6/FX9, or equivalent is highly valued. A solid understanding of festival-ready deliverables, including Digital Cinema Package (DCP) standards and online screening formats, is essential.
