This role oversees physical security systems, loss prevention programs, and emergency preparedness, while enabling digital transformation and data-driven decision-making. The Director will build scalable, proactive programs that empower field teams, reduce risk, and align with QXO’s culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. This leader combines strategic vision with operational execution, driving cross-functional initiatives that enhance resilience, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.What you’ll do:Program Leadership & StrategyDevelop and implement a global Physical Security and Loss Prevention strategy aligned with QXO’s business objectives and regulatory requirements.Serve as the primary liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and OKRs for security and loss prevention effectiveness.Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments and mitigation planning.Operational ExcellencePartner with Operations, Real Estate, Facilities, Cybersecurity, Legal, and HR to integrate security into facility design, daily operations, and strategic initiatives.Develop and enforce physical security design standards for new builds, retrofits, and existing facilities.Oversee emergency preparedness, crisis response, and business continuity planning.Manage vendor relationships and contracts for security services and technologies.Training & CultureCollaborate with Learning & Development to deliver training programs that promote security awareness and compliance.Champion a culture of safety, integrity, and vigilance across all levels of the organization.Ensure compliance with applicable laws, industry standards, and internal policies.Data, Reporting, Technology & Continuous ImprovementLead the administration and optimization of physical security systems (e.g., access control, surveillance, alarm systems) in partnership with IT.Develop and maintain dashboards, analytics, and reporting tools to monitor performance and identify trends.Leverage data to proactively identify risks, reduce shrink, and improve operational outcomes.Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in physical security and loss prevention.What you’ll bring:RequiredBachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field.10+ years of progressive leadership experience in physical security and loss prevention, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, retail, or technology sectors.Proven success in managing enterprise-level security programs and loss prevention strategies.Deep knowledge of physical security systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.Experience implementing third-party security technologies and collaborating with IT teams.PreferredProfessional certifications such as:Certified Protection Professional (CPP) – ASIS InternationalPhysical Security Professional (PSP) – ASIS InternationalLoss Prevention Certified (LPC) – Loss Prevention FoundationCertified Fraud Examiner (CFE) – Association of Certified Fraud ExaminersProficiency in security systems (e.g., Genetec, Lenel, Avigilon) and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Experience with crisis management, investigations, and business continuity planning.Familiarity with ISO 31000, ISC standards, and other global security frameworks.What you’ll earn:401(k) with employer matchMedical, dental, and vision insurancePTO, company holidays, and parental leavePaid training and certificationsLegal assistance and identity protectionPet insuranceEmployee assistance program (EAP)QXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
