Its flagship SaaS platform acts as an intelligent navigation assistant for vessel - enhancing safety, preventing collisions, and optimizing operational efficiency in real time.This role combines strategic ownership with full hands‑on execution.It is a new, individual‑contributor position (one‑man‑show) - ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic startup environment and can independently build product marketing foundations from the ground up.About the Role:As the Director of Product Marketing, you will operate at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Marketing. You will define how the company communicates its value to the market, shape narratives that differentiate the platform in a complex ecosystem, and support go‑to‑market motions across multiple product lines and buyer personas.You’ll lead product positioning, messaging, enablement, competitive insights, and launch strategies—while working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive engagement and market adoption. This role is both highly strategic and highly executional, suited for someone who is equally strong in storytelling, data interpretation, and market understanding.Key Responsibilities:Positioning & MessagingDevelop and refine product positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions that clearly articulate differentiation in a crowded market.Translate complex AI and computer‑vision capabilities into simple, benefits‑driven narratives tailored to key buyer personas (fleet managers, operations leaders, safety teams, executives).GTM & Launch StrategyPlan and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new features, platform releases, integrations, and use cases.Build unified GTM plans including objectives, messaging, enablement, timelines, and launch metrics.Ensure alignment between Product, Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams.Sales EnablementCreate high‑impact enablement materials: pitch decks, one‑pagers, battlecards, product sheets, FAQs, talk tracks, competitive summaries, and objection‑handling frameworks.Enable Sales teams to communicate the value of the product confidently and consistently across segments.Market & Competitive IntelligenceConduct customer interviews, win/loss analysis, and market research to identify buying triggers, pain points, and competitive threats.Monitor industry trends related to maritime operations, safety, navigation, automation, AI adoption, and fleet digitalization.Use insights to inform product roadmap prioritization and campaign planning.Cross‑Functional AlignmentCollaborate with Product, Engineering, Content, Brand, and Demand Generation teams to ensure unified messaging across all touchpoints.Support integrated campaigns with product‑aligned storytelling and segmented content.Serve as the internal “voice of the customer” to help refine features, UX decisions, and market fit.Requirements:3-6 years of experience, ideally in complex technological domains(AI, Computer Vision, SaaS, Deep‑Tech, Industrial Tech, Automation, or related fields).Experience working in fast‑paced startup or scale‑up environments.Proven track record of building positioning frameworks, launching products, and delivering sales enablement assets.Strong storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.Analytical mindset with experience using customer, product, and market data to drive decisions.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams.High ownership, independence, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.Experience in maritime, shipping, logistics, aviation, defense, transportation, or industrial sectors.Let's talk!
