Job Description

The Director of National Sales (Retail) position is responsible for all sales initiatives and strategies in multiple sales channels at the National Account (Retail) level. The specific goal is to build a team and processes that will continuously improve sales and profit while contributing to and executing against a growth strategy for National Accounts. Duties:Develop and manage the sales budget.Prepare and execute annual/monthly sales forecasts.Execute annual sales goals.Analyze and report all sales goals, trends and functions of the sales team.Coach, develop and motivate first line sales managers.Develop relationships with all customers with a priority on highly valued customers.Develop workable implementation plans and communicate changes effectively.Develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; Identify external threats and opportunities; Adapt strategy to changing conditions.Collaborate with other departments within the company such as Marketing, Customer Service, Credit, Operations, and Product Development to help create a product offering and program that helps achieve set sales goals.Continuously improve market share, customer satisfaction, team building and contribute to an action oriented, continuous improvement culture.Other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.10+ years of relevant retail sales experience, required. Preferably within the farming or agricultural sectors.5+ years of prior sales management experience and/or training.**This role may require up to 70% travel, depending on seasonal demands and business priorities. While the position is fully approved for remote work, candidates based in CST or EST time zones are preferred**
