Job Title: Sr. Director Technology & EngineeringLocation: Irving, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, Columbus, Ohio, United StatesType: Full TimeOur Client is seeking an accomplished Sr. Director Technology & Engineering to lead the strategic direction, innovation roadmap, and execution of software development initiatives. This role will guide high‑impact technology decisions, drive modernization efforts, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, cloud‑based solutions that support long‑term business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology & Architecture LeadershipShape and evolve enterprise architecture strategies focused on optimization, scalability, and innovation.Lead multi‑year roadmaps for cloud modernization, AI/ML integration, application transformation, and infrastructure advancement.Align technology investments with broader organizational priorities through partnerships with senior leaders.Application Development & InnovationDirect modernization initiatives for key software products across planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.Provide oversight across enterprise application architecture and integration.Champion API‑first development, microservices, DevSecOps practices, agile methodologies, and AI‑driven enhancements.Team & Vendor LeadershipBuild and lead high‑performing teams of architects and technical experts.Foster a collaborative, accountable, and innovation‑focused culture.Oversee vendor partnerships, ensuring SLA performance and high‑quality delivery.Cloud & Infrastructure ModernizationGuide cloud‑native, hybrid, and multi‑cloud strategies.Lead modernization initiatives across compute, network, and storage layers.Evaluate emerging technologies to drive strategic adoption and future‑ready architecture.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.13+ years in software development, including 6+ years in senior leadership roles.Proven success delivering complex, large‑scale software solutions.Expertise in cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD, agile methodologies, and modern software architecture.5+ years of experience with architecture frameworks and design patterns.Experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments, including governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.Familiarity with standards such as PCI and SOC 2.Healthcare industry experience or insight into healthcare trends is a strong plus.Strong financial acumen, analytical ability, and decision‑making skills.Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship‑building capabilities.Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).Work EnvironmentHybrid work model with flexibility across the U.S.Candidates in the Dallas–Fort Worth area will be expected to work onsite at least two days per week at the local office.Onsite days may vary based on business needs.
