Discover more about the Hourglass brand story and mission on our website hourglasscosmetics.comHourglass Cosmetics is seeking an experienced, motivated and passionate Director, Social Media to strategize and execute its Campaign launch and Always-on approach to drive views and engagement across all social platforms.The Director of Social Media is a key role within the organization, reporting to the Sr. Director of Social Media and Influencer Marketing and working closely with every other team.Social is more than a post; it is an experience for viewers with real added value. The right person for this role must understand the different social platform purposes and trends (both consumer and platform) and have a genuine passion for how social media can be used to communicate with consumers and a keen interest in cosmetics, Hourglass’ brand purpose and positioning as a cruelty-free luxury brand.What You DoStrategic content planning (short and long-term) of Hourglass organic social activity across all platforms; Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest.Maintain a cross-platform posting calendar aligning with key marketing initiativesIdeate creative concepts for both campaign/product launches and always-on approachOwn the social roll out across social platforms seeing through all project phases including concept, briefing, launch, asset delivery, deployment, recapGenerate creative briefs with research-driven, strategic recommendations and guide creative team on best practices through content creation process including concept, asset delivery, and deploymentMeasure social performance generating regular recaps and translating learnings into actionable insights for growth to be shared across departmentsAct as the eyes and ears of the brand on social identifying trends across social, beauty, and creative to adapt to Hourglass brand in real-timeDrive social innovation and remain at the forefront of new platform tools and emerging platformsBe the guardian of Hourglass of social; from making sure assets are true to Hourglass to monitoring social conversations and providing editorial guidelines.Build audience acquisition plans and growth strategiesIdentify unique ways to increase brand affinity, engage with fans, and build social communityPartner closely with the Influencer team on strategic recommendations that support key social and brand initiatives, build community, and impact organic growth of Hourglass channelsWork closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams (influencer, brand, creative, paid social, and retail) to align on key initiatives, champion social-first ideas and orchestrate global integrated activationsManage and grow a team member reporting to youYou’ll Love This Job IfYou are highly STRATEGIC: You understand business goals are achieved with a clear plan and that best practices, insights and learnings are the foundation of any plan.You are CREATIVE: You are innovative and forward-thinking in your approach and mindset.You are extremely ORGANIZED: You are not overwhelmed by the thought of tackling multiple tasks at a time.You are DETAIL ORIENTED: You appreciate the importance of having detailed and precise information.You are a strong COMMUNICATOR: You are a people person, natural leader and collaborate well with others.You are AGILE: You adapt well to changing needs and priorities and are able to pivot easily to achieve goals and deadlines.You are PASSIONATE about beauty: You are eager to learn and absorb all things related to beauty, brand and creative strategy.QualificationsMinimum 8 years in social media marketingExperience within the beauty or luxury space preferredExperience building and executing social marketing campaigns and calendarsUnderstands platform best practices and up-to-date design needs/restrictions across socialProficient in social management and analytics tools such Dash Social, Sprout, etc.Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and influence future strategiesThinks strategically and stays on top of tactical executionExcellent oral and written communication skillsHas relentlessly high standardsAbility to own campaigns for ideation through launch and sustainMust be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the timeThe expected base salary range for this position is $135,000 – $ 145,000 per year. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
