It allows people to organise their own support in the way that works best for them. Our Enliven Individualised Funding team works alongside disabled people and their whanau/family to help set up and manage their home support services to a level that suits them, whether that’s dealing with the paperwork, full payroll or help with recruiting staff. We have a strong client focus and work at each individual’s pace to get them started.Te Kowhiringa I The OpportunityAs a Disability Support Coordinator you will work alongside our clients to arrange support for their disabilities via Individualised Funding (Ministry of Health). A fundamental part of this role is communication and having a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships to help guide and support our disabled clients through the requirements of their funding to ensure they understand and use their funding in a beneficial way.This role can be based in either Tauranga or Hamilton and you will need to be able to travel within the region and additional areas to meet the needs of our clients. A vehicle, for work purposes only, will be provided to enable you to perform your role.Main duties of the role are:To review all claims to ensure they meet the current purchasing rules and are within budget. Ensure goals have been set for all clients and link to the support planDevelop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersSet up and maintain all client files, home files and other recording systemsSupport clients/agents with the required paperwork & administrative supportMaintain correspondence with NASC, clients and relevant othersNgā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and ExperienceRelevant experience or tertiary qualification in the disability, health or business fields, ie: Bsc Social Science, B Com, Registered Health ProfessionalDemonstrated ability to develop client support plans to achieve goalsKnowledge of NZ employment laws, health and safety, privacy and tax lawsGood understanding of the principles of Individualised funding and Enhanced Individualised funding and how that relates to purchasing decisionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfident presentation skillsEffective technology and report writing skillsSound time management and prioritisationFull NZ Drivers Licence and the flexibility to travel when requiredNgā āhuatanga hirahira o te mahi nei I Highlights of Working with UsWe are committed to creating a diverse work place where you can look forward to feeling included and valued for your contribution.
