Job Description

Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the safety, operational performance and achievement of budgets/ key performance objectives and profitability of assigned Regional Operations as well as providing assistance in other areas within the branches and overseas as required from time to time.Responsible for Singapore and Malaysia branch operations. As this role is based in Singapore it will also act as Singapore Branch Manager.Responsible to assist with customer liaison and the development of new business opportunities within your assigned area of responsibility and providing forecasts of the business as required.Responsible for the supervision, professional and ethical performance and conduct of both permanent and supplementary employees within your assigned area of responsibility.Responsible for the scheduling and safe completion of all site work to meet client requirements making proper use of company systems supported by workforce planning.Manage the design/build of new equipment, modifications and maintenance of existing equipment (done in conjunction with company engineers respectively).Allocate and supervise all work (site and internal) carried out by our technicians and arrange any necessary supplemental labour supported by workforce planning.Responsible to conduct safety inductions of all new personnel (including hire labour) and re inductions as per company proceduresResponsible to issue safety equipment/tools as necessary for the required tasks and to ensure it is maintained in accordance with company standards.Responsible to purchase additional equipment, safety gear, components for jobs and workshop supplies as necessary in line with Company purchasing procedures.Responsible to complete and maintain a daily diary and provide reports as required.Responsible to monitor service job sheets and time sheets, to ensure that all client jobs are correctly charged for, and to cost our service job sheets against job numbers.Responsible to ensure that reasonable work times are maintained by all employees. This should typically include monitoring start/stop times and meal and breaks, both onsite and in the workshop.Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, to conduct monthly safety meetings in the workshop and for ensuring that all company and legislative occupational health safety, welfare and environment requirements are met.Responsible for ensuring that all workshop equipment is adequately maintained and calibrated as per Company procedures, including the proper use of ETS.Responsible for the overall cleanliness, safety and efficiency of the workshop.Responsible to act on complaints from clients or our own personnel as necessary and to pass on any serious matters to senior managers.Responsible for ensuring the workshop operates as a professional team.Responsible to promote and market Company products and services.Responsible to ensure ETS and all freight movement requests are monitored, recorded correctly.Responsible to allocate appropriate time and resources for training to ensure ongoing skills development via external/internal courses arranged and to regularly work in a “hands on” capacity with site personnel to ensure they are adequately trained and are competently servicing our clients requirements.Quote jobs where practical and provide assistance to operations and sales staff in preparation of tenders and contracts.Responsible to ensure our operations comply with the Quality System for the supply of services and products to our clients.Responsible to comply with Company Policies and Procedures, as varied from time to time.Required to assist with on-site technical service work and project planning and implementation.Required to perform other duties at the request of the Managing Director from time to time.Responsible to ensure the adequate maintenance and calibration of equipment used as well as moving in and out of your assigned branch network as per company procedure.Job RequirementsTravel within the region and overseas as required.Maintain a close and positive working relationship with technicians, supervisors, engineers and the Managing Director to ensure information is shared and opportunities maximised.Undertake and complete training as required, including training of a general and/or developmental nature to support your role.Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.Willingness to share responsibility with other employees for providing 24 hour on call service to our clients and to act as primary telephone contact after hours.Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.Required to behave in a professional manner at all times, acting as role model for staff and represent the company to customers at the highest standard.
