This is your chance to be a part of a production that’s equal parts innovative and unforgettable.Job SummarySwaybox Studios is seeking a meticulous and mechanically inclined Editorial PA to join our groundbreaking Editorial Team. This hands-on role plays a key part in managing the flow of materials, schedules, and communication between departments to ensure sequences are production-ready on schedule. We’re seeking a candidate who is interested in a long-term role within the Feature Film Editorial team and is eager to grow their career with us.As part of our innovative digital-to-physical pipeline, you will work closely with our puppeteers, fabricators, and production leads to ensure that all components meet the creative and technical demands of each project—from puppet elements to intricate props.Looking for a long term role in feature film in the Editorial team and room for career growth.Key ResponsibilitiesIngest and organize all project media, including labeling, syncing, and creating proxies.Maintain and update editorial logs, ensuring accurate tracking of all footage and media assets.Manage the daily backup workflow, securely transferring all footage from the primary capture drive (duo) to the designated backup location.Prepare and distribute reference footage to relevant parties via designated servers and cloud platforms (Google Drive).Additional / On-Set ResponsibilitiesProvide direct support to the Editor and Assistant Editor with various post-production tasks.Prepare all takes from each footage roll for the Editor's review and selection.Execute daily footage lineups and basic edits under the Editor's direction.Support the Editor in managing the overall editorial pipeline and team workflow.Coordinate and manage the editorial team's workflow while on set.Accurately log and track every shot and sequence captured during production.Name and code all experimental, test (TST), animatic, and R&D shots.Prepare click tracks and performance references for performers and puppeteers.Gather and process selected takes ("selects") from puppeteer performances.Ensure all footage destined for VFX tracking and animation is correctly prepared and handed off.Required Qualifications2+ years in animation, VFX, or film production—preferably in an editorial support role.Strong understanding of pre-production and editorial workflows.Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.Proficient in production tracking tools (e.g., ShotGrid, Airtable) and Avid/ Premiere Pro Confident working across teams and departments with a proactive, solutions-first mindset.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with storyboarding, editorial timelines, and script revision tracking.Familiarity with After Effects (or willing to learn)Experience with voice recording coordination or script prep.Knowledge of production file naming conventions and version tracking.Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.At Swaybox Studios, we believe that great storytelling comes from diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences.
