We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.The EHS Coordinator supports the Budapest Törökbálint site in implementing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards, ensuring legal and corporate compliance, and driving continuous improvement in EHS culture and performance. The role provides day-to-day EHS support, manages documentation and reporting, coordinates training and emergency preparedness, and works closely with employees, contractors, and site leadershipKey Responsibilities and TasksEnsure compliance with Hungarian EHS legislation and Xylem corporate standards.Serve as the primary contact for Hungarian authorities (Labour Inspectorate – Munkavédelmi Felügyelőség/OMMF, National Directorate for Disaster Management – Katasztrófavédelem, and relevant environmental inspectorates) during inspections and audits.Conduct Risk Assessments (RA/JSA), workplace inspections, and internal EHS audits.Lead/support incident and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analysis, issue corrective/preventive actions, and communicate lessons learned.Develop, deliver, and track mandatory EHS training (onboarding, periodic health and safety training, toolbox talks) ensuring full compliance.Coordinate emergency preparedness and response (emergency response plan, first aiders, fire protection, evacuation drills).Maintain EHS records, KPIs, and reports, including incidents, training status, inspections, and compliance statistics.Support environmental programs: basic compliance checks on waste, water, air; support corporate sustainability reporting.Lead or support internal audits and prepare sites for external or corporate audits.Drive safety culture and employee engagement through campaigns, coaching, communication of alerts and lessons learned.Position RequirementsEducationOccupational Safety Technician / equivalent Hungarian qualification.University degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental, or Engineering fields is an advantage.Professional Certification (Required)Legally required Hungarian occupational safety certification (Munkavédelmi technikus or higher, e.g., Munkavédelmi mérnök).ExperienceMinimum 1–3 years of practical EHS experience in a Hungarian manufacturing or service environment, including proven involvement in occupational safety compliance and risk assessment activitiesSkills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of Hungarian occupational safety and environmental legislation, and ability to apply it in practice.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to prepare detailed reports and documentation.Good communication skills: ability to train and engage employees at all levels.Independent, proactive working styleProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).English and Hungarian languages fluency requiredJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
