As an eLearning Specialist, you will be working with clinicians, administrative, managerial, research and technical staff whose computer skills range from basic to advanced. You will be supporting staff whose goal is to provide exemplary patient care, innovative research and teaching.DutiesAs an integral member of Digital Education, the principal focus for the eLearning Specialist will be:Design, develop and maintain dynamic, interactive, AODA compliant and user-friendly multimedia training solutions using Adobe Cloud, Snag It, Captivate, Vyond and Articulate softwarePartner with colleagues and internal teams to design, develop and configure quality SCORM compliant and HTML e-learningCollaborate with members of the curriculum development and training team to provide design guidance on storyboards, content flow, brainstorm/problem solve optimal educational design and determine resources required to meet project timelines with quality resultsProduce quality eLearning course material, including course design documents, course outlines, course descriptions, course storyboards, diagrams, interactive exercises, and assessmentsUnderstand and/or create storyboards and scripts for e-learningQualifications4 years of demonstrated experience as an e-learning developer2 years of direct experience using Adobe Cloud and Articulate software’s5 years of experience in Microsoft 2019 productsBachelor’s degree in multimedia design, graphic design, or instructional design, or a related field in training development an assetPrevious LMS administration experience considered an assetExperience working in a health care or corporate environment is an assetExperience in creating digital assets for e-learning coursesExperience in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQueryExcellent follow-up, time management and organization skillsStrong editing, written and oral communication skillsProactive technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong audio file recording and editing skillsSolid project management skillsSolid understanding of performance-based learning and simulation-based trainingSolid experience in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and Accessibility best practices and standards (AODA)The ideal candidate is familiar and comfortable with the following programs:Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise)Adobe CaptivateAdobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, Audition, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere)Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, TeamsGraphic DesignUX/UI experienceQuality assurance testingSCORM 1.2/SCORM 2004Additional InformationWhy join UHN?In addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
