Different to other engineering firms, Egis offers true end-to-end capability across the entire design-to-operation lifecycle, offering advisory, architecture, engineering, design, asset management and operations services.We are committed to creating great teams doing innovative work and would love you to join us to Impact the Future.Job DescriptionAs an Electrical Design Drafter working with the Distributions team, your impact will be in the preparation of panel layouts, schematic designs, switchroom/terminal station layouts, cable/wiring schedules and related documentation related to the design of HV and EHV terminal stations and substations.Key Responsibilities:Undertaking drafting of distribution designs to a high technical standardReview and assess brownfield and greenfield sitesWork closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure detailed designs are practical, technical sound and meet/exceed client expectationsEnsure all design activities are completed within budget, schedule, and quality targets, maintaining cost-effective deliveryIdentify and manage scope variations according to client and/or project requirementsParticipate in design reviews, contributing technical input and identifying opportunities for design optimisationQualificationsTo be successful in this opportunity, you will have relevant industry experience with demonstrated experience drafting for distribution projects. In addition, you will also have:Technical qualification such as a Diploma of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in AustraliaCurrent full Victorian Driver’s LicenseDemonstrated experience within the Electrical Transmissions/Distribution industryUnderstanding of Electricity Distribution systems and process requirements related to design workProficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStationWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levelsAdditional InformationSalary range: $78,000 - 83,000 plus superannuation (12%)We are open to considering this role on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis.
