Electrical Draftsman (2D) – DEWA Experience

📍 Location: UAE 🕒 Availability: Immediate Joiners PreferredAbout the RoleWe are looking for a skilled 2D Electrical Draftsman who can produce high-quality electrical drawings, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and support project submissions. The ideal candidate must have experience preparing DEWA-compliant drawings or working on DEWA approvals for electrical layouts.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate 2D electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and detailed wiring diagrams.Work closely with MEP, Civil, ELV, HVAC, and Architectural teams to ensure full coordination across disciplines.Ensure all drawings comply with DEWA standards, guidelines, and submission requirements.Support in preparing load schedules, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and cable routing plans.Revise drawings based on engineer comments, site changes, and client feedback.Maintain drawing records, layer standards, and revision logs.Work with engineers on material take-offs (MTOs) and BOQ preparation.Attend coordination meetings and provide technical input where required.Required Qualifications & SkillsMinimum 3–5 years experience as an Electrical Draftsman in the UAE.Strong experience with 2D drafting in AutoCAD.Hands-on exposure to DEWA submissions or DEWA drawing requirements (e.g., DEWA-compliant SLDs, load calculations, or approval workflows).Solid understanding of electrical systems, cable sizing, distribution boards, and load management.Strong coordination experience across MEP trades.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.Good communication and teamwork skills.
