With expertise spanning advanced modeling, risk assessment, and operational readiness, the company is dedicated to ensuring systems are safely designed, delivered, and operated.About the roleWe're growing our electrical engineering capability and looking for someone who wants to work on technically complex projects with a senior, hands-on team. You won't be buried in a large firm's overhead, you'll be embedded directly in project delivery, working alongside experienced engineers who stay in the detail from start to finish.This is a full-time hybrid role based in Sydney or Brisbane.Key responsibilities include designing and reviewing electrical systems, managing power distribution projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide technical guidance, and contribute to problem-solving processes to deliver safe, practical, and efficient engineering solutions throughout the lifecycle of projects.What You'll BringStrong foundation in Electrical Engineering, including knowledge of electrical design, electricity, and power systems.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Experience with large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) design and integrationKnowledge of solar PV systems and associated electrical infrastructureFamiliarity with EV charging network design and installationBackground in industrial electrical engineeringUnderstanding of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment in engineering projects.Comfortable working across the full project lifecycle: design, construction support and commissioningNice to HaveControl systems experienceFunctional safety systems knowledgeSCADA / PLC exposurePower distribution and HV/MV designAbility to think at a systems level across multiple disciplinesWhy AmarnaWork directly with senior engineers and technical leadersBroad exposure across energy transition and industrial marketsA team that's serious about what we do, but not so serious about ourselves
