OverviewSeeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support statewide building projects through plan reviews, permitting, and fire alarm/electrical inspections. This role ensures compliance with NEC, life safety codes, and Georgia building standards.What You’ll DoReview electrical and fire alarm designs, construction documents, and permit submissions for code compliance.Conduct 80% and 100% field inspections for electrical and fire alarm systems on state building projects; issue written reports.Provide expert technical guidance on electrical systems, NEC requirements, and building codes.Identify errors and inconsistencies in drawings; provide written comments and recommended corrections.Participate in project meetings with architects, engineers, and stakeholders.Perform building assessments or forensic evaluations as needed.What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in commercial electrical/construction environments.Strong knowledge of NEC, building codes, conduit/panel/wiring standards, ampacity adjustments, voltage drop calculations.PE license or actively pursuing PE (role involves stamping permit submissions).Willing to complete a state-paid 2-week Fire Inspector certification.Strong communication skills; able to review complex projects independently.Valid driver’s license; ability to travel statewide.Schedule & Work ModelDowntown Atlanta hybrid: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote (may start fully onsite).Benefits15 days vacation + all state holidays401(k) with 100% match up to 5%Excellent insurance and state benefits package
