Our device changes the way by which we connect with and use technology as humans, by introducing a voice-first technology that understands you conversationally and can carry out tangible tasks or requests using sensor data, advanced AI and IoT.Location: Melbourne, Australia (open to hybrid/remote applications) Team: 25 engineers (hardware, software, AI) + 3 commercial strategistsRole: Senior Electrical EngineerWe’re currently looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join our hardware team.Core Expertise:Expert-level proficiency in Altium for designing high-density, multi-layer PCBs in space-constrained devices (e.g., smartphones, wearables, IoT).Hands-on experience in schematic capture, component selection, BOM optimization, DFM/DFT, PCB fabrication oversight, assembly, testing, and debugging.Proven ability to balance size, latency, and signal/power integrity in compact electronics.Proficiency with FPC, rigid-flex preferred.Skilled in schematic/circuit design and experience with analog/digital design.Experience with EMI/EMC principles and familiarity with mediums such as Ethernet and wireless connectivity (BLE, Wi-Fi, LTE).Familiarity with hardware architectures for edge computing, including low-power processors, sensor modules, and wireless connectivity (BLE, Wi-Fi, LTE).Key Experience:5+ years designing PCBs for consumer electronics or similar high-volume products.Expertise in designing for scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability while meeting tight size budgets.Skilled in using tools like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and JTAG debuggers to resolve hardware issues.Favorable Experience:Edge computing applications (on-device ML, real-time sensor fusion).Familiarity with flex/rigid-flex PCB design or SiP (System-in-Package) technologies.Knowledge of battery-powered device design and low-power optimization.What We’re Looking For:A pragmatic innovator who blends creativity with rigorous attention to detail, has shipped commercial products, and communicates seamlessly with firmware teams, industrial designers, and contract manufacturers.Equity-Based Compensation:We are not offering a salary.
