Job DescriptionTe Tūranga | About the Role:Our Takapau site in Central Hawke’s Bay is Silver Fern Farms’ largest dedicated lamb processing site, employing up to 950 people at the peak of the season.Our Engineering team is entering an exciting phase as we grow capability and implement refreshed structures and processes that will enable us to improve the service we provide while enhancing reliability at the site.We’re looking for a motivated and skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our engineering team, who are crucial in keeping production running in a challenging, dynamic food production environment. In return, we offer competitive pay rates, OT allowances, and great training and development opportunities.Our site operates both day and evening shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend overtime. This role joins the team on a rotating day/evening shift cycle, with two weeks on one before switching to the other.Te Mahi | Key Responsibilities: Support the reliability and efficiency of production operations by maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems across the Takapau site Contribute to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement within the Engineering team Apply problem-solving and technical skills to deliver practical solutions that keep production moving Ōu Pūkenga | About You:The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes: Full NZ EWRB Electrical registration and proven industrial experience. PLC, VSD – LV/HV experience would be advantageous Excellent general knowledge of a working production environment Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions on a timely basis — we love people who think outside the square!
