Located in the heart of Ikeja, the hotel embodies contemporary luxury and personalized hospitality, providing both business and leisure travelers with an exceptional stay.About the Role: The Sojourner by Genesis is seeking a skilled and proactive Electrician to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electrical systems and equipment throughout the hotel to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations in line with hotel standards and safety regulations.Key Responsibilities: ⚡ Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting, outlets, and equipment. ⚡ Respond promptly to maintenance requests across departments and guest areas. ⚡ Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. ⚡ Troubleshoot and maintain electrical panels, motors, pumps, HVAC units, kitchen appliances, and laundry equipment. ⚡ Ensure emergency lighting, backup power, and fire alarm systems are fully operational. ⚡ Follow all electrical codes, safety standards, and hotel maintenance policies. ⚡ Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs. ⚡ Support energy conservation initiatives and recommend efficiency improvements. ⚡ Collaborate with the engineering team (HVAC, plumbing, and maintenance) for smooth operations.Qualifications & Requirements: 🔹 Technical Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field. 🔹 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a hotel or commercial facility. 🔹 Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, and troubleshooting. 🔹 Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. 🔹 Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at heights. 🔹 Excellent teamwork and communication skills. 🔹 Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies.Core Competencies: ✔️ Technical expertise & problem-solving ✔️ Safety awareness & attention to detail ✔️ Time management & reliability ✔️ Customer service orientation ✔️ Adaptability & collaborationWhat We Offer:Competitive remuneration and performance-based incentives.Opportunities for career advancement within the Genesis Group.A supportive and professional work environment that encourages growth and innovation.How to Apply:Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV and cover letter to hr.admin@genesissojourner.com using the subject line:“Application –Electrician/Maintenance (Sojourner by Genesis, Ikeja)”Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
