About us:Xeryon is a fast-growing Belgian B2B company that develops unique high-precision motors.Our customers use our products to accurately position components in precise applicationssuch as microscopy, medical devices, laser systems, and chip manufacturing machines.Job Summary:As an Electronics and Embedded Systems Developer at Xeryon, you will workclosely with our development team to design and develop electronic control systemsfor our piezo motors. Your responsibilities include designing both the intelligentdigital components and the associated analog power stages and sensors. You willalso contribute to the embedded software development for microcontrollers.Key Responsibilities:Design & PrototypingDesign and develop electronic control systems for piezo motors with a focus on standardizing the electronics over our different motors, reducing the footprint, and providing the best solutions to connect to different communication protocols.Develop both digital and analog components, including sensors and power stages.Create schematics and PCB layouts using tools like KiCad, Altium, or Eagle.Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts.Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-efficiency.Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, RoHS, EMC).System Integration & TestingPerform system-level testing and validation to ensure performance and reliability.Develop and execute test plans, including automated testing where applicable.Developing and testing of encased versions of existing and newly developed controllersSupplier & Component ManagementSelect and evaluate electronic components and suppliers.Maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) and manage component lifecycle and availability.Identify critical electronic components in our designs and collaborate with our purchasing team to avoid supply problems.DocumentationDocument new developments in our systems.Update and review existing documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity. Managing version control of the development files.Continuous Improvement & InnovationWork closely with the development team to bring innovative solutions, especially the mechanical team for sizing and connectivity, and the software team.Analyze testing data and feedback to improve product reliability and performance.Take initiative in improving system performance and reliability, focused on reducing the footprint and improving integration of electronics in our motor systems.Ability to bring in electronics expertise on current best practices and future trends.QualificationsTechnical SkillsMaster’s degree in Electronics-ICT or equivalent through experience.Knowledge in KiCad.Familiarity with programming languages (Python and C) is a plus.Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic control system development, preferably in motor or drive systems.Being familiar with encoder electronics is a plus.Being familiar with different industrial communications protocols is a plus.Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.Personal AttributesDriven and enthusiastic.Strong team player.Proactive and takes initiative.What We OfferA dynamic and energetic work environment in a fast-growing scale-up company.Opportunities to grow into various roles across engineering, quality, production or sales roles.A chance to directly influence product development and customer experience.A supportive team culture focused on innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.Competitive salary and benefits tailored to your experience and growth potential.
