Job Description

Elusav Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join a brand new data center project with one of Europe's most well respected Engineering contractors, based in Finland. As the Warehouse Manager you'll be responsible for ensuring management of project materials both company and client supplied Free Issue from receipt up to and including issuance, alongside conducting and maintaining all tool and plant registers at site and liaising with T&P management for site requirements. Responsibilities: Projects are typically larger, more complex and/or have an international focus.

Receives new and returned items and visually inspects equipment, tools and materials and stores items in good condition in appropriate location. Notifies supervisor of damaged items. Typically spends more than 20% of time performing same or similar work as team supervised. Tracks all material, FTP register, etc. required for the project and ensures that required material is ready and available prior to scheduled construction / installation date. Works to optimize space utilization and ensures that storage area(s) are maintained and protected. Ensure correct procedures for Material receiving at Site are always adhered to.

To ensure correct storage techniques are used for storing materials including any required preservation. To ensure that the stores are kept in an orderly and proper manner. To ensure that an efficient delivery service is provided to the project from the warehouse and all documentation is recorded. Ensure proper and accurate usage of the company computer system for managing the warehouse. Ensure full commitment to the implementation of the procedures. To ensure that all external hire of Transport, Plant and Equipment is kept to a minimum and records are kept up to date.

Generate material reports as required and check for accuracy. Ensure stock reconciliation and traceability of materials issued from the warehouse by following the material issue procedure. Where used ensure that minimum stock levels are properly accounted for and utilized. Ensure excess / unwanted materials returned from site are adequately recorded and accounted for. Liaise with relevant person on site regarding any delivery discrepancies and any other matters to be resolved. Liaise with the Group Material Manager and coordinate the removal and disposal of excess / scrap materials. Maintain standards of HSE and comply with Company’s Health, Safety & Environment procedure/policy.

Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements. Completed work is reviewed only from an overall standpoint. Errors may be serious with impact on project costs and schedule. Frequently serves as a resource to others for knowledge transfer and problem resolution. May occasionally lead the Material Control specific portion of project(s) which may include overseeing the duties of one or more staff, may assign work, train and check work of others. Most assignments regularly require problem identification where analysis of situations or data are required to provide a solution.

Determines how to approach/solve problems where information comes from a variety of sources and may not be readily available e. g. stock prioritization to meet site needs. Must think through multiple alternatives and potential consequences to determine and communicate best outcome. Expected to frequently recommend and implement methods and procedures to improve safety, efficiency, quality, cost, etc. within scope of role. Any other ad hoc duties as assigned in line with responsibilities from time to time. Requirements: In-depth Knowledge of materials received in DC sectors.

Experience in Material Control or Supply Chain within an Engineering, Procurement, or Construction environment is preferred. Working toward a qualification or coursework in Material Control or Warehouse management. Fluent in Finnish & English. Knowledge of materials and related terminology. Ability to efficiently fulfil field requests using available stock. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn procurement and material control systems. Understands critical path importance of having material availability and escalating appropriately when risk identified. Ability to anticipate and proactively resolve issues using internal and external resources. Ability to discuss site requirements and schedule.
