Job Description

Responsibilities: Utility Management: Oversee and manage all utility operations including water, steam, air, and power supply for the plant, ensuring uninterrupted supply to support production requirements. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to utility management, focusing on quality, safety, and environmental impact. Monitor and manage utility consumption, optimizing usage to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency. Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of utility systems, reducing wastage and minimizing downtime. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of utility equipment, ensuring that all systems are running efficiently and reliably.

Implement predictive and preventive maintenance schedules to avoid operational interruptions and extend the lifespan of equipment. Cost Control and Budgeting: Manage utility budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled while maintaining the required service levels. Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce utility costs without compromising production requirements. Conduct periodic energy audits and prepare reports for senior management, highlighting cost-saving opportunities and consumption trends. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all utility operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory standards specific to the pharmaceutical industry.

Ensure utility systems are maintained in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, minimizing risks of accidents, leaks, or environmental hazards. Stay updated with changes in local and global utility regulations and standards, ensuring the plant remains compliant. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and train the utility team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety and operational standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, empowering the team to identify and implement operational enhancements. Evaluate the performance of utility staff, provide feedback, and organize training programs for skill development. Collaboration with Other Departments:

Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure utility requirements are met for smooth operations. Assist in the design and implementation of energy-efficient processes and technologies across the plant. Project Management: Manage utility-related projects, including system upgrades, capacity expansions, and installations of new equipment. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of utility services and equipment.
