This role involves providing in-depth analyses of legislation and litigation to anticipate regulatory challenges. Breaking market-moving news and offer forward-looking analysis to inform decision-makers.MLex is a real-time newswire and the successful candidate will be expected to turn around urgent copy quickly. It is critical that the successful candidate can successful spot a story that will appeal to MLex's broad-but-demanding readership. We also publish in-depth reporting and commentary, and the Energy and Climate Correspondent will be expected to identify risks posed by legislation ahead of our competitors and use this expertise to write in-depth, big impact investigations and commentary pieces.Key ResponsibilitiesQuickly turn around urgent news stories for our real-time newswire.Identify and write in-depth reports and commentary on energy and climate risks.Collaborate with our Trade team in Brussels and colleagues in other bureaus.RequirementsJournalism experience.Ability to break exclusive news and provide insightful analysis.Proficiency in writing both news-wire and commentary formats.Knowledge or interest in EU regulatory environment, climate, and energy regulation.Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages (French, Spanish, German, or Polish) is a plus.Work In a Way That Works For YouWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
