At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, and change, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes. We are currently seeking an Energy Market Analyst to join our Long-term Optimization team, based in Athens, GreeceAs an Energy Market Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing the Greek energy market and other regional markets, as well as standard and ad-hoc assessments of the group’s assets performance. Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth data analysis, improving departmental processes, supporting regulatory developments monitoring, and providing actionable insights to strengthen business resilience and growth. Your role will encompass: Conduct detailed analysis of the Greek electricity market and other regional markets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Develop and maintain market models, generating scenarios aligned with the group’s long-term strategic outlook. Monitor market dynamics, validate assumptions, and update forecasts for key parameters (prices, energy mix, etc.). Forecast group asset performance and PPA valuations, delivering financial insights to support strategic planning. Serve as the main liaison for external consultants, supporting ad-hoc market studies and specialized projects. Automate data collection, database management, and reporting workflows to enhance operational efficiency. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on market and regulatory developments for senior management.  What you bring to the role: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Business, or related discipline. Master degree will be considered a plus. +4 years of experience in market analysis, energy economics, modeling, or regulation within the energy sector. Advanced degrees or certifications in energy markets or regulation will be considered a plus. Strong understanding of the Greek electricity market and regulatory framework; knowledge of Balkan markets is an advantage. Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Python, GAMS, or VBA, and experience with Power BI. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
