This is a rare opportunity to lead a squad of talented engineers while still contributing to code, shaping our product roadmap, and delivering real impact across Liven’s ecosystem.You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that delight users and help venues grow.What You'll DoLead and mentor a full-stack engineering team, fostering a high-performance, inclusive cultureOwn the technical delivery of your squad, from discovery to deploymentDesign and build scalable, maintainable systems across frontend and backendCollaborate with product and design to define scope, requirements, and technical solutionsConduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to drive engineering best practicesContribute to architectural decisions and advocate for clean, reliable, and secure codeDrive continuous improvement in CI/CD, observability, and engineering processesAct as a key contributor in planning, prioritisation, and delivery of product featuresWork with stakeholders across the business to understand user needs and balance tradeoffsQualifications6+ years of professional software development experience, with 2+ years in a technical leadership or team lead roleProven experience building full-stack web applications at scale (React, Node.js, Typescript or similar)Strong understanding of system design, microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systemsDeep experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containerisation, and CI/CD pipelinesPassion for mentoring, coaching, and growing engineering talentProduct-focused mindset: you care about the why, not just the howExcellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyBonus: Experience in fintech, payments, loyalty, or hospitality techGood to HaveExperience working in fintech, payments, loyalty, or hospitality techExposure to GraphQL, event-driven architectures, or serverless frameworksFamiliarity with security and compliance considerations in regulated environmentsExperience with mobile development (React Native or Flutter)Track record of contributing to developer productivity or internal toolingStartup or scale-up experience with a bias for shipping and iterating quickly
