You’ll be part of a high-impact product squad with close collaboration across engineering, design, and product.🚨 Important: This role requires strong backend experience (Node.js, GCP, GraphQL). Flutter is essential, but backend engineering is a deal-breaker.What You'll DoBuild and maintain high-quality Flutter-based mobile apps used by QSR brands and venues across APAC.Architect and develop scalable backend services using Node.js (Nest.js, Express.js) and TypeScript.Create, maintain, and optimize GraphQL (Apollo) and REST APIs for mobile clients.Design efficient relational data models using PostgreSQL and caching strategies via Redis.Deploy, monitor, and maintain services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using CI/CD and infrastructure best practices.Write clean, maintainable, testable code — and set the bar for engineering excellence through code reviews and refactoring.Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define technical specs, scope delivery, and ensure product success.Contribute to the adoption of AI-powered tooling to accelerate development and enhance system intelligence.Qualifications5+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on backend systems3+ years of experience developing apps in Flutter (Dart)Hands-on experience with:Node.js, Nest.js, Express.js (TypeScript)PostgreSQL (data modelling) and RedisGraphQL (Apollo) and REST API designGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud platformsProven ability to deliver backend-heavy mobile applications in production environmentsStrong debugging and performance optimization skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsComfortable working full-time during AEST hours (Australian business hours)Good to HaveExperience in hospitality, retail, or transaction-heavy domainsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Sentry, Datadog)Exposure to AI/ML tools, prompt engineering, or automation frameworksExperience integrating with third-party platforms (POS systems, payments, loyalty, CRM)Contributions to open source or participation in developer communitiesExperience working in remote-first teams across regionsWhy join Liven?Make an impact — your code will power thousands of venues and millions of dinersWork in a global, product-led team building the future of hospitalityLearn fast, ship often, and drive real outcomesJoin a culture that values intelligence, autonomy, and innovationBe part of an AI-first company with big ambitions and real momentum
