Engineering Manager - Intent-Based Cross-Chain Infrastructure Location: RemoteCompensation: $180K - $200KWe are building programmable, intent-based infrastructure on a leading Layer 1 protocol, making blockchain interactions smoother, smarter, and more composable. Our work enables intent-driven execution across chains, requiring high-velocity technical delivery and strong team leadership. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to accelerate execution across projects, partner integrations, and cross-team initiatives.This role is focused on making things happen: ensuring technical projects are delivered on time, partner integrations run smoothly, and internal teams are fully aligned. You will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team while owning technical guidance, reliability management, and strategic process implementation.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvementProject Delivery: Own delivery pipelines across engineering streams; track progress, identify risks, and keep projects moving toward milestonesTechnical Guidance: Provide architectural and technical guidance, ensuring best practices in code quality, system design, and scalability (especially for message-based/event-driven systems)Integrations: Oversee technical integrations with partners, customers, and ecosystem teams, collaborating closely with Partner Engineers and TPMsReliability Management: Be responsible for SLI/SLOs, incident response, and postmortems; drive alignment on reliability standards and risk toleranceExecution Focus: Build and maintain delivery dashboards, timelines, and communication cadences for internal and external stakeholdersProcess & Tools: Introduce pragmatic delivery tools, reporting, and frameworks to help engineering scale efficiently and foster an accountable performance cultureStakeholder Communication: Provide regular delivery and technical updates to leadership and partners, highlighting risks early and proposing actionable solutionsRequirementsExperience: 5+ years of experience in engineering management, technical delivery, or program managementLeadership: Experience leading software teams and managing technical integrations across products, platforms, or APIsSystems Understanding: Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and complex systems architecture (e.g., message-based, event-driven systems)Blockchain Knowledge: Solid understanding of blockchain or distributed systems, ideally with Ethereum experienceTechnical Background: Hands-on technical background; able to review code or guide design discussions in TypeScript, Rust, Go, or SolidityExecution Skills: Excellent organizational and execution skills—able to balance delivery, people, and process effectivelyCommunication: Strong communication skills—can translate between technical depth and business contextMindset: Calm, structured, and solution-oriented under pressure, with comfort in ambiguityOpen Source: Contributions to open-source softwareBenefitsImpact: Accelerate the development of programmable, intent-based infrastructure that is making blockchain interactions smoother and more composableEnvironment: Work in an energetic environment, surrounded by highly productive and meticulous engineers eager to dive into the cross-chain ecosystemCompensation & Package: Competitive salary and benefits package (details to be discussed based on experience)Challenge: The role offers a constant challenge in driving execution across complex projects and partner integrationsDue to the high volume of applications we anticipate, we regret that we are unable to provide individual feedback to all candidates.
