Job SummaryThe English Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of English teaching and learning across the school. This position focuses on maintaining high academic standards, monitoring curriculum implementation, supporting teachers’ professional growth, and promoting continuous improvement in English education.Key Responsibilities1. Quality Assurance & MonitoringMonitor and evaluate the quality of English teaching and learning in classrooms.Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.Ensure teaching aligns with the school’s curriculum standards, learning outcomes, and assessment criteria.Develop and implement English quality assurance procedures and evaluation tools.2. Curriculum & Assessment DevelopmentReview and update English curriculum documents to ensure relevance and alignment with educational goals.Coordinate the development of teaching materials and assessment instruments.Ensure assessments measure learning objectives effectively and fairly.Support implementation of standardized testing and analyze results to identify improvement areas.3. Teacher Support & Professional DevelopmentOrganize training, workshops, and coaching sessions to enhance English teachers’ skills.Mentor and guide English teachers in pedagogy, classroom management, and assessment strategies.Facilitate peer review sessions and best-practice sharing among English teachers.4. Data & ReportingCollect, analyse, and report data related to student achievement and teaching quality.Prepare regular quality assurance reports and present findings to the Academic Head or Principal.Recommend actionable plans for improvement based on data and observations.5. Collaboration & CommunicationCollaborate with school leaders, curriculum coordinators, and teachers to ensure alignment of English programs with school goals.Communicate quality standards and expectations clearly to all English teaching staff.Serve as a liaison between English teachers and the academic management team.
