About the RoleThis role sits at the intersection of data understanding and early-stage commercial engagement. It’s designed for people who want to build a career in enterprise sales where technical clarity, critical thinking, problem solving and credibility matter from day one.You will start hands-on: working with datasets, running PoCs, understanding constraints, and learning how organizations evaluate data products. After this onboarding phase, you transition into the Enterprise Sales Engineering seat, where you combine technical literacy with commercial execution at an enterprise level.Phase 1 – PreSales Core (first months)You begin inside the PreSales team, working directly with Data Analysts, Product, and GTM.The purpose of this phase is simple: build enough technical depth and context so that later, your commercial work is grounded, credible, and impossible to bluff.You will:Work on PoCs alongside Data Analysts, GTM, and Product.Read a client problem the way their own team would, break down client requests, understand constraints, and define a realistic PoC path.Adjust and customize datasets to fit specific prospect requirements.Investigate data issues, assess quality, and explain findings internally.Prepare samples that reflect real-world constraints.Join early conversations with technical teams and business stakeholders.Learn how organisations evaluate data solutions, develop an in-depth understanding of decision paths, blockers, friction points.By the end of this phase, you’ll have a grounded understanding of our data dictionary, fill rates, output methodology, and technical capabilities in context of client use cases and solution applicability.Phase 2 – Enterprise Sales Engineering (long-term path)Once you complete the PreSales core, you move into a role focused on generating, progressing, and closing enterprise deals, with a technical foundation that strengthens every step of the process.This is for people who are energized by:discovering and qualifying opportunities,engaging large organizations,navigating multi-layered complex stakeholder groups,and driving deals from first contact to signature with technical confidence.You will:Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through targeted outbound and disciplined inbound follow-up, focused on ICP-aligned prospects.Translate data, methodology, and limitations into clear, practical discussions with prospect teams.Apply your technical and product knowledge in context, from client environment and vendor landscape to industry norms.Identify nuances, constraints, differentiators, and blind spots across alternatives, and position our solution clearly against alternatives, grounded in actual use cases, highlighting our deeptech advantages.Lead early conversations involving technical, operational, and strategic stakeholders.Run demos anchored in complex practical use cases and real workflows, rather than generic replicable presentations.Manage PoCs commercially by setting expectations, clarifying evaluation criteria, and aligning next steps.Progress deals from initial interest to contract signature by maintaining clarity on requirements, internal decision paths, blockers and commercial structure.Consistently close new business through accurate pricing, clean terms, and correct deal structure.Work closely with our GTM team on account prioritisation and how different organisations evaluate data products.Collaborate cross-functionally to surface insights and opportunities, test ideas, and drive high-impact initiatives that strengthen the overall GTM motion.QualificationsStrong analytical thinking and ability to break down a client request to shape the right approach for a PoC.Comfortable working with data workflows: joins, filtering, deduplication, enrichment, sampling, investigating edge cases, and identifying quality issues.Ability to assess data quality, spot inconsistencies, gaps, outliers, and structural problems; articulate what is blocking a PoC and why.Hands-on mindset: able to move between investigation, dataset preparation, and client-facing discussions during the same cycle.Clear, mature communication across technical teams, operational teams, and strategic business partners.Comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder environments and understanding how decisions progress inside large organizations.
