Job OpportunityPosition: Environmental AdvisorOrganization: Recycling Council of BCLocation: Remote, must live in BC, Vancouver area preferredPosition SummaryThe Environmental Advisor plays a key role in supporting residents and businesses across British Columbia by providing reliable, accessible information about the circular economy, pollution prevention hierarchy, and waste management services. RCBC answers over 30,000 calls annually from BC residents from two phone lines, one BC wide recycling line and a second regional waste management facility line. This role helps people make informed, sustainable decisions—whether it’s about waste avoidance, recycling, or navigating provincial regulations and programs.Environmental Advisors also contribute to maintaining the accuracy of our data and resources, ensuring that the information we share is current, clear, and effective. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about making a real environmental impact and enjoys helping others navigate complex systems with clarity and care.We are pleased to offer the successful candidate three weeks annual vacation that begins to accumulate at the beginning of employment and full extended health care benefits after successful completion of the 90 day probation period.
