Equipment Mechanic – Electrical & Instrumentation

Job Description

Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Diagnoses and troubleshoots of electrical and instrumentation faults in cranes, pumps, valves, motors, compressors, turbines and auxiliary equipment. Perform repair, calibration, and maintenance of electrical systems, sensors, control panels, and automation components. Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime. Ensure compliance with OEM standards, QHSE guidelines, and regulatory requirements during all repair and commissioning activities. Maintain accurate documentation of electrical/instrumentation inspections, test results, and repair actions. Workshop & Field Operations Support field operations by conducting electrical and instrumentation commissioning of cranes, static and rotating equipment inspection, repair, maintenance and calibration services Manage assigned workload efficiently, ensuring timely task completion. Collaborate with mechanical and hydraulic teams for integrated equipment maintenance solutions. Provide input on tools, spares, and materials required for efficient maintenance.Client & Stakeholder Engagement Support client operations by ensuring electrical/instrumentation systems of cranes, static and rotating equipment’s are reliable and safe. Participate in client inspections, equipment audits, and project reviews. Build trust with clients through consistent quality delivery and technical expertise. Assist SCM and Tendering units with technical inputs related to electrical/instrumentation scopes Safety & Compliance Strictly follow company safety policies and industry electrical standards. Promote a culture of zero harm in handling high-voltage and control systems. Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and continuous improvement programs.RequirementsEducation Associate degree, Bachelors Degree in engineering, mechanical engineering or relevant Trade Certificate in Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, or Automotive Technology Additional training in crane/equipment IRM, electrical systems, instrumentation, or control systems is required. QHSE knowledge and certifications are advantageous. Experience Minimum of 7-10 years’ hands-on experience in electrical/instrumentation repair and maintenance of cranes and heavy equipment (rotating and static). Proven track record of successful projects, equipment commissioning, and technical problem-solving. Industry experience in oil & gas servicing or heavy machinery maintenance is preferred. Knowledge & Skills Expert knowledge in Electrical System Diagnostics & Repairs and Instrumentation & Control Systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with attention to detail. Proficiency with maintenance tools and electrical testing equipment. Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong team collaboration skills.
