Estimator (Fit out)

Job PurposeThe Estimator is responsible for the overall project including preparing realistic and competitive quotations covering all aspects of the project from prelims, logistics, civils, MEP, Joinery and Finishes, and present adjudications meetings to senior management to finalize the tender.The applicant should have relevant experience in the UAE and be capable of carrying out joinery estimation from first principles, working in Hospitality, Retail, F&B, High End Residential, commercial sectors.Essential Roles and ResponsibilitiesIdentify and submit value engineered options for every tender to improve the chances to win the tender.Ensure the bids being prepared are compliant to the tender documents and include for all elements including logistics, transportation, supervision etc.carry out quantity Take offs and verify the quantity take-offs carried out by Estimators.prepare BOQ's for fit out works and verify the BOQ’s carried out by Estimators.Carry out Site Visits and compile prelims and price the works accordingly.Send out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors, for joinery related works and complete thorough reviews of the quotations and comparison upon receipt.Compile pricing using plant, labor and materials and quotations.Handover to the delivery team upon successful award.Review, update and revise the quotation according to any PTC's.Complete and present the Tender Adjudication to senior staff.Prepare the cover letter with qualifications and exclusions.Communicates with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers as per company procedure to discuss and formulate estimates, value engineering and alternatives, cost reductions and resolve issues/tender clarifications.Manages the subcontractor prequalification process and ensure that invited subcontractors have the proper experience, resources, and financial capabilities to perform on the project.Handover to the delivery team upon successful award. Skills and Experience:Higher Diploma in QS.Experience carrying out fit out estimation working in hospitality, retail, F&B, high end residential, commercial sectors.Candidates must have a good knowledge of working sites including, but not limited to; outputs, production times and labor durations for site works.
