Job Description: Lighting Estimator– Architectural & Technical Lighting Location:Dubai, United Arab Emirates Job Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lighting Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in lighting estimation, BOQ preparation, cost analysis, and technical evaluation for architectural, commercial, and industrial lighting projects in the UAE market. The role requires close coordination with lighting designers, project managers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure accurate and competitive proposals aligned with project requirements and local standards. Key Responsibilities  Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate lighting cost estimates.  Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost breakdowns, and quotation comparisons.  Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain quotations and verify technical compliance.  Evaluate lighting design layouts, fixture schedules, and control systems for accuracy and value engineering opportunities.  Support the sales and design team with technical clarifications during tender and posttender stages.  Prepare and submit lighting proposals, technical submittals, and compliance statements.  Maintain a database of material costs, suppliers, and project pricing references.  Coordinate with procurement and finance departments to align pricing with company targets.  Stay updated with UAE market trends and lighting technologies. Requirements  Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field. Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an estimator or in a technical sales role within the lighting in the UAE.  Strong knowledge of architectural lighting products, control systems, and local codes.  Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, and MS Office.  Excellent analytical and communication skills.  Ability to read MEP and lighting layout drawings.  Familiarity with vendor and contractor networks in the UAE lighting market. Preferred Skills  Experience working with international lighting brands.  Understanding of project documentation and submittals.  Knowledge of value engineering and tender pricing strategies.  Bilingual in English and Arabic is a plus.
