Location: Calgary, ABProject Size: $10M – $30MCompany Type: General Contractor (ICI – Industrial, Commercial, Institutional)About the Role Our client, a reputable ICI General Contractor in Calgary, is seeking a Ground-Up Estimator to support new-build projects ranging from $10M to $30M. You’ll lead full-cycle estimating for ICI projects, working closely with pre-construction, project managers, and site teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed quantity take-offs and full-cost estimates for ICI ground-up projects ($10M–$30M).Develop conceptual and schematic budgets from early design information.Review drawings, specs, and addenda to identify scope gaps, risks, and opportunities.Manage the tender process: invite trades, issue addenda, respond to RFIs, and level subcontractor bids.Maintain and grow a strong database of local ICI subcontractors and suppliers in Calgary and surrounding areas.Participate in value engineering and provide cost options to support competitive, profitable bids.Support handover to operations with clear assumptions, inclusions/exclusions, and scope breakdowns.Qualifications3–7 years of estimating experience with an ICI General Contractor.Proven experience on ICI projects in the $10M–$30M range (industrial, commercial, or institutional).Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.Proficient with estimating software and Excel; on-screen takeoff experience is an asset.Strong knowledge of ICI building systems, assemblies, and Calgary market pricing.Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working to tight bid deadlines.
