Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Corporate Office) Reporting To: Planning & Performance Manager Travel Requirement: Occasional travel to crew sitesRole Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and adaptable Resource Planning Specialist with proven experience in the transport—ideally rail—sector. This role will focus on service planning, operational resource optimization, and data-driven forecasting to enhance workforce efficiency across operational domains including Driving Crew, Station, Maintenance, and NOCC. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage service plans, including timetables and consist diagrams. Monitor and improve train performance KPIs, including service availability, punctuality, and delay attribution.
Lead and optimize resource management and rostering strategies for all operational staff groups (Crew, Station, Maintenance, NOCC). Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, and implement regulatory and legal staffing requirements. Apply fatigue management principles within roster planning and scheduling processes. Analyze large operational datasets to identify trends and propose actionable performance improvements. Develop and maintain forecasting models to optimize manpower utilization across departments. Contribute to the development of operational and safety scheduling standards. Prepare and deliver professional reports, presentations, and documentation for business planning and stakeholder communication. Preferred Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience with advanced O&M planning and scheduling systems, such as: IVU TechnologiesGiro HastusDassault DELMIA QuinticStrong proficiency in data analytics, performance modeling, and Excel-based planning tools. Soft Skills: Fast learner with high adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills. Strong documentation and organizational capabilities.
