We’re on the lookout for an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer with an interest in the design of unmanned aircraft Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS). If you're ready to take the lead and drive innovation, IDE is where you belong.What You ‘ll Be Doing:Participate in the entire aircraft design and development cycle of state-of-the-art fixed-wing small and tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for defense and security applications, including certification.Design and develop EWIS in accordance with UAS requirements and regulatory standards.Interact with:Systems engineers to capture the electrical design requirements.Structural aeronautical engineers to perform trade-off studies concerning EWIS weight buildup, EWIS routing restrictions, EWIS mounting, etc.Create 3D model-based definitions of the EWIS with respect to design standards selected (i.e. SAE ARP 50881).Use industry-standard tools for electrical design and documentation.
