Queensland Treasury is recruiting for an Executive Assistant within the Office of the Associate Under Treasurer for the provision of executive support, managing daily activities and ensuring that all executive functions are performed in a professional, efficient and effective manner. You will regularly engage with senior management and high-level external stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. High-level executive support in a senior government office. Work in a fast-paced, impactful, and dynamic environment.Your new opportunityIn this role as Executive Assistant, you will provide vital support to an executive leader in the advancement of Queensland Treasury's objectives. The Associate Under Treasurer plays a strategic role in supporting Queensland's policy, financial, and intergovernmental priorities. In partnership with line agencies and Treasury divisions, the office leads and provides expert advice on social and economic policy, financial matters, and program performance to drive solutions that deliver holistic, evidence-based outcomes. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes that align with Treasury's commitment to deliver jobs, services and a great lifestyle to the people of Queensland.This role is available as a permanent or temporary contract up to 12 months, or a secondment from another government department, for the right candidate to join our team.In This Role, You WillProvide confidential and high-level secretarial and executive support to the Associate Under Treasurer in a complex, fast-paced and sensitive working environment.Manage the Associate Under Treasurer's inbox including emails and calendar in a timely, accurate and professional manner Coordinate the organisation of executive meetings and events, including notes and adviceDevelop and maintain effective working relationships across the Treasury portfolio and with the Treasurer's Office, other government agencies, and the private sector.Undertake a range of administrative functions and ad hoc requests including payments, reconciliations, communications tasks and compliance activities to ensure efficiency and the smooth running of the office.What Experience You Will Bring Demonstrated experience providing executive support to senior executive management in a large organisation or government department Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire, government processes and networks Exemplary standards of diplomacy, discretion, personal integrity, and confidentiality.
