Merchandising Executive Merchandising Executive oversees, plans and directs all aspects of a retail organization’s merchandise ordering activities. Establish product assortment strategies to meet customer demand and maximize sales and profits. Merchandising Executive supporting Product Merchandising Manager for establishing guideline for merchandising supply chain and vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the control, management and procurement functions of the merchandising department. Responsible for the inventory and product mix for the assigned product categories Ensure optimal results performance for merchandise categories assigned Monitor retail sell through across each product categories Maintain optimal stock levels across product categories Work closely with the stores and vendors on all replenishment activities, product range, promotions mechanics and pricing Negotiate with vendors regarding terms, conditions and margins to create competitive edge Analyze performance of stock and promotions to determine effectiveness of the product assortment and promotion strategy to drive market share Manage the distribution of products across individual stores Plan and prepare stocks for product launches and promotions Place orders and follow up closely with suppliers to ensure timely order of products Prepare reports to analyse sales turnover and inventory movements Monitor and manage warehouse inventory Assist in the setting up of new stores and offsite events Analyse market trends Requirement Proven working experience in merchandising Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers
