DescriptionQ-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Fabricator/Machine Operator. Reporting to the Machine & Fabrication Supervisor, this role will be responsible for operating fabrication machines such as press brakes, rolls, shears, grinders, drill presses, saws, and punch presses.ResponsibilitiesOperate fabricating machines such as press brakes, rolls, shears, grinders, drill presses, saws, and punch pressesUse hand tools to bend, cut and form componentsLocate and mark work piece bending and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness and other component specificationsAbility to read and understand simple blueprintsConsistent inspection of parts for accuracy and quality and to ensure that they conform to specificationsPackage or crate parts for shipmentRequired SkillsHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years general fabrication experience or a successful graduate of any recognized apprenticeship, or vocational programBasic math skillsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionOperate various material-moving equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack, gantry cranes, etcUse of a variety of measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, etcWorking knowledge of basic computer functionsWelding experience is a plusWho We AreQ-Lab Corporation is a global leader in providing material durability testing products.
