Job Description

FunctionAssists in executing tasks on data center equipment accurately, promptly, and in line with established processes and procedures. Plays a key role in ensuring that planned maintenance is conducted safely and efficiently, working with qualified contractors to maintain quality standards. Supports monitoring and issue resolution for electrical and mechanical systems, keeping the Chief Engineer fully briefed on maintenance activities and any necessary corrective actions.In consultation with the Chief Engineer:Oversee contractors performing work in the data centerEnsure that work supervised and carried out by contractors/vendors is recorded in the systemsAssist with coordination and communication during emergency recovery workWork on 1-line equipment according to the Planned Preventive Maintenance schedule, including a playbook approved by the Manager of Operations and/or the Responsible Installer.Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, critical situations, and emergencies during normal working hours. Be responsible for calm and clear communication in accordance with the emergency plan.Take the initiative to ensure that quality and efficiency standards for all equipment in the data center are enhanced. This also includes finding ways to save costs for the company without compromising quality. Correctly and timely administration of all tasks performed in accordance with all processes and procedures:Perform tasks according to the planned preventive maintenance schedule.Inform the Manager of Operations about tasks performed and any notable matters.Report all incidents according to procedures. Job requirements3 or more years of relevant work experience in data centers or other critical environmentsIn-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in data center environments, including transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS & STS units, RPP units, chillers, and CRAC/CRAH units.Educational level in accordance with WEB level 4 (WEB = Dutch Adult and Vocational Education Act).Electrical engineering training/educationSafety Health Environment Checklist Contractors (Abbreviation: “VCA”)Strong verbal and written communication skills (English, Dutch is a plus).Good computer skills (MS Office)Strong administrative and collaborative skillsEligible to work in Belgium without visa sponsorship
