Job Title: Facilities Supervisor Location: Montreal, QCSalary: Negotiable w/annual bonusJob Type: PermanentBenefits: RRSP matching, health, vision, and dental plans, paid vacation days, paid sick/personal days, employee referral program, service awards, amongst others.We are currently seeking a proven and ambitious Facilities supervisor to work with our aviation client based in Montreal, QC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supporting multiple facilities by managing daily operations, maintenance and repairs.Our client is a market leader in business aviation and deliver on the key principles of safety and service excellence, offering expertise in aircraft management, charter, maintenance, and sales. Responsibilities:Ensure projects/work orders are conducted safely, cost effectively, efficiently, to timeline, and follow up on post-project deficiencies.Maintain project/product warranties and leverage any deficiencies.Set-up inspections and repairs with vendors/contractors as required.Oversee day-to-day janitorial, snow removal, and landscaping to ensure any issues are resolved.Ensure vendor/contractor safety, security, insurance and WSIB requirements are up to date; Sign in/out and escort contractors as per company policies.Assist with the facilities ticketing system by confirming tickets are captured and noted. Utilize the system to assign track work, escalating issues to the Manager as required. Meet with the local Operations Managers to understand their needs; ensure facility work is being performed to their standard while delivering exception internal customer service. Participate in regular status meetings and provide reporting as required to the Manager.Coordinate and assist with Security and Health and Safety inspections.Participate as a member of the H&S committee.Provide support on all quality assurance, safety and security matters related to operation of the facility including initiation, investigation and closing of occurrence reports as per the safety management system (SMS).Manage security key cards including the issuance, return, audit and maintenance of key cards and the card reader system.Build and maintain collaborative relationships and clear, transparent communication with internal customers including other departments, tenants, and landlords.Develop a comprehensive understanding of the maintenance department’s general operations in the interest of maintaining effective relationships.Act as a liaison with the relevant airport authority.Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety for co-workers, tenants and customers.Inspect buildings, life safety components and associated elements to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions, security concerns, fire prevention, H&S concerns, troubleshoot and needed repairs, making notes and recommendations using a pre‐established check sheet.Perform and oversee the performance of minor electrical maintenance, plumbing maintenance, painting, carpentry and masonry work;Maintain an organized inventory of all facilities and GSE documentation (if required), parts, tools, supplies and safety equipment.Contribute to the development of effective facility, safety and security training materials by collaborating with peers including the SMS and training leads in Canada.Regularly monitors Lineservice team members to ensure they meet/exceed requirements.Act as Assistant Fire-Warden and Assistant Security Officer.Respond to emergencies, fire and security situations as required.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsMinimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in facilities maintenance, ground service equipment operations and repairs, or a similar combination of experience is required; aviation experience preferred.High School Diploma or equivalency is required; post-secondary education is preferred.A valid driver’s license is required as driving between sites and for other work purposes is required. Local airport authority Restricted Area Identification Card is an asset.Intermediate understanding of electrical, plumbing, fire, security and HVAC systems.Must possess light and medium duty equipment operator experience and proficiency with the use of a variety of hand tools and electric tools.The ability to effectively troubleshoot various types of equipment breakdowns.Must be resourceful, safety and customer service oriented, and can evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Required to work flexible hours at all locations as needed.Required to be on-call as required.If you meet the above requirements and would like to be considered for this role, please send your updated resume to Ross Maclean-Bryant at ross@tarcg.com TARCG is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy.
