Job Title: Principle Communications Manager + PR and Social Lead, Communications (Contractor)Contract Duration: 7+ Months Location : Toronto, ON Duties: This is a key leadership opportunity for a high-performing, driven, and collaborative, professional who will serve as a strategic partner to the Canadian business. This individual will be responsible for shaping the brand narrative and enhancing TurboTax's reputation through integrated public relations, social media, and influencer strategies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who possesses a strategic and creative mindset, a proven ability to execute with excellence, and experience providing counsel to senior leaders. This role is an individual contributor supporting the Global Communications organization.The ideal candidate will bring extensive communications experience in Canada with the ability to excel in an extremely fast-paced environment. Has experience in the areas outlined in “Key Responsibilities” and has delivered a measurable increase in brand awareness, customer consideration and conversions. Is a self-starter that builds strong relationships to deliver outstanding end-to-end business results.Key Responsibilities:Own the integrated communications vision and strategy development for TurboTax Canada (TTCA), encompassing public relations, social media, and influencer marketing, developed in collaboration with senior internal stakeholders and agency partners.Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and leaders, building strong relationships to ensure alignment and drive business results.Develop integrated, end-to-end marketing and communications strategies for TTCA in partnership with cross-functional teams.Define key performance indicators and oversee the development of comprehensive campaign performance reports across all channels, translating data and insights into actionable recommendations.Collaborate with TurboTax US marketing and communications team stakeholders to ensure cross-border alignment.Drive TTCA’s public relations media strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders and agency partners. Lead and manage the PR agency to ensure strong execution. Build and maintain key media relationships to secure high-impact coverage.Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive, data-driven social media strategy to increase brand visibility, foster community engagement, and drive business growth.Oversee the influencer marketing program, from strategy and identification to campaign execution and performance analysis, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.Monitor social media trends, conversations, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and inform content strategy and PR pitches.Manage the social media, influencer and PR budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve performance goals.Skills: Qualifications: 8-10+ years of progressive experience in a fast-paced corporate or agency environment (consumer tech or financial sectors preferred), demonstrating a strategic, creative, and flawlessly executed approach to communicationsProven track record in developing and executing innovative, integrated communications strategies that measurably increase brand awareness and customer consideration, including extensive experience in managing successful influencer programs from strategy to analysis.Demonstrated expertise in leading social media strategy, with a deep understanding of all major platforms and their respective audiences.Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, operating as a self-starter who consistently delivers outstanding results with autonomy.Strong analytical skills, leveraging data and insights to inform strategy and measure ROI, coupled with excellent oral and written communication skills for crafting compelling narratives and delivering effective presentations to executive audiences.This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, Canada, with three days in the office per week.Education: 8-10+ years of progressive experience in a fast-paced corporate or agency environment (consumer tech or financial sectors preferred), demonstrating a strategic, creative, and flawlessly executed approach to communicationsDexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
