This role is for one of the Weekday's clientsSalary range: Rs 1300000 (ie INR 13 LPA)Min Experience: 7 yearsLocation: MumbaiJobType: full-timeAs a Factory Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of manufacturing operations — from production and maintenance to quality and dispatch. You will lead a cross-functional team, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and implement strategies that enhance efficiency and productivity. This position demands a leader who is both strategic and hands-on, capable of balancing operational excellence with financial performance.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Supervise the entire factory operations, ensuring seamless coordination across production, maintenance, quality control, and logisticsDevelop and execute production plans to meet delivery timelines, quality standards, and cost objectivesImplement lean manufacturing principles and process improvements to optimize workflow and reduce wasteMonitor plant performance metrics, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to achieve operational targetsEnsure adherence to health, safety, and statutory compliance standards within the manufacturing environmentLead, mentor, and motivate factory staff to achieve efficiency and performance goalsCollaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure consistent raw material availabilityOversee quality assurance and ensure product consistency aligned with company benchmarksManage factory budgets, control costs, and drive profitability by overseeing the P&L of the unitIntroduce automation and technology-driven improvements to enhance production capability and sustainabilityWhat Makes You a Great Fit:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related disciplines7-12 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within the consumer goods, furniture, or mattress/foam industryProven track record of successfully managing mid-to-large scale production facilities with direct P&L accountabilityStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build, guide, and motivate large teamsHands-on expertise in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and quality management systems (QMS)Deep understanding of process optimization, cost control, and operational excellenceAnalytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvementHigh degree of accountability, integrity, and results-oriented mindset
