The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing fibre optic infrastructure, ensuring optimal network performance and uptime.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and monitor all active network equipment and ensure efficient operations at assigned Points of Presence (PoPs).Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including route surveys on aerial fibre and other transmission paths.Maintain inventory and technical tools, recommending procurement where necessary.Ensure stable end-to-end network interconnectivity with adjoining PoPs.Diagnose and resolve network faults using OTDR and other test tools, particularly on aerial fibre routes.Install and maintain DWDM/SDH transmission equipment and other network components.Execute temporary and permanent fibre restorations, including stringing, tensioning, and splicing, while minimizing MTTR.Provide remote support to the NOC and respond to technical requests from headquarters.Supervise contractors to ensure that all field operations meet company standards.Prepare and submit daily technical and performance reports to the Regional Supervisor.Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and partners to maintain high service standards.Qualifications & ExperienceB.Sc. or HND in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering (or related field).0–2 years of hands-on experience in fibre optic network installation or maintenance.Working knowledge of OTDR, splicing, DWDM, and SDH systems will be an advantage.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and willingness to work in field conditions.Why Join Phase3Opportunity to work with one of West Africa’s most established network infrastructure providers.Exposure to diverse projects across multiple regions.A collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.How to ApplyInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to Recruitment@phase3telecom.com, using the Job Title as the subject of the email.
