Salary: 200,000 - 220,000 Monthly (Net)Location: Lagos, NigeriaIndustry: Telecommunications / Internet Service Provider (ISP)Experience Level: 3 - 5 Years (Mandatory ISP Sector Experience)Employment Type: Full-TimeReports To: Field Operations ManagerRole OverviewThe Field Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ISP network services at customer locations. The ideal candidate must have solid hands-on experience with network equipment, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service while adhering to company standards and technical procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & ConfigurationVisit customer premises to install and configure ISP services, including internet connectivity, routers, modems, switches, and cabling.Follow company installation guidelines, technical specifications, and safety procedures.Test and verify service performance to ensure speed, reliability, and connectivity meet required standards.Educate customers on proper use, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed equipment.Troubleshooting & Issue ResolutionDiagnose and resolve technical issues related to internet connectivity, equipment failures, or service disruptions.Respond promptly to customer complaints or service requests, providing effective and timely solutions.Collaborate with coordinators, Network Operations Center (NOC), and support teams to escalate complex issues.Document all service activities, customer interactions, and resolutions accurately.Customer Service & CommunicationInteract professionally and courteously with customers to ensure an excellent service experience.Communicate technical concepts clearly and simply, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.Recommend service improvements, upgrades, and additional solutions based on customer needs.Liaise with sales and account management teams to share feedback and identify upselling opportunities.Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure all installations comply with company standards, quality benchmarks, and regulatory requirements.Perform routine audits and quality checks to identify and resolve deficiencies.Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to improve service quality.Requirements & QualificationsHigh school diploma required; technical certifications or a related degree is an added advantage.3 - 5 years experience in network installations within an ISP or telecommunications environment.Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, routers, switches, modems, and cabling.Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving internet/network connectivity issues.Familiarity with Windows, Linux, macOS, and network diagnostic tools.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in the field.Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to customer sites.Physical ability to lift and install networking equipment.BenefitsCompetitive net salary (200,000 220,000).HMO/Medical Insurance.Pension contributions and statutory benefits.Paid annual leave and public holidays.Field mobility allowance (where applicable).Professional development and certification support.Opportunity to work with advanced ISP technologies.How To ApplyInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:https://www.mysigma.io/jobs/field-engineer-2/Using the subject line: Field Engineer Lagos
